Our story
Rooted in Persimmon Hollow.
Before it was DeLand, this place was Persimmon Hollow. Today it's the Athens of Florida — oak-lined Woodland Boulevard, a university town, live music and porches made for a glass of something good.

We started DeLand Wine Club because buying great wine here meant guessing in a supermarket aisle or paying to ship bottles through a Florida summer.
So we built the opposite: a club with a home downtown, a curator you can shake hands with, and a monthly party where your bottles are waiting.

Founders & Curators
Damon & Deidra Slachter
Husband-and-wife founders · DeLand locals · Lifelong wine lovers
Damon and Deidra fell in love with wine one tasting room at a time — and decided DeLand deserved a club of its own. They taste hundreds of bottles so you don't have to, and they'll be the ones handing you yours at the pickup party.
Why local
Why local beats shipped
Florida heat is wine's enemy
Shipped bottles cook in hot trucks. Ours go from a cool cellar straight into your hands.
No signature roulette
No missed FedEx stickers, no driving to a depot. Just a party downtown.
Community
You meet the person who picked your wine — and the neighbours who love it too.
Honest sourcing
Small producers, honestly made wines. Never bulk private-label plonk.
